Mike is the President and Chief Operating Officer of The Dwyer Group®, overseeing the day-to-day management of the organization with a resume of franchising experience that he established literally from the ground up. He began his career with The Dwyer Group as a Rainbow International® franchisee in Tucson, Arizona when he opened his business in April 1984. In 1987, he became The Dwyer Group's first multi-concept franchisee by opening a newly acquired affiliate company, Worldwide Refinishing Systems, in Tucson as a master licensee for Arizona. In August 1992, he also opened Mr. Rooter® Plumbing, concurrently operating three different concepts. He sold his businesses in 1995 when he was recruited to join The Dwyer Group's World Headquarters as President of Rainbow International. He served as President of Rainbow International from 1995 - 2002, as President of Mr. Appliance® from 1998 - 2006 and President of Mr. Rooter from 1998 - 2006. He was promoted to COO of The Dwyer Group in 2002 and then added the title of President in 2007.
Before joining The Dwyer Group, Mike held a variety of positions with Shell Oil Company from 1980 to 1984 at its world headquarters in Houston, Texas. He was recruited by Shell while attending the University of Arizona. Mike graduated in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in business administration with a double major in economics and finance.
